MATRIARCHY is not a theme.
It’s a correction.
For decades, underground electronic music has been shaped, carried, and pushed forward by women, often without visibility, without credit, without space at the top.
MATRIARCHY exists to bring that force to the front, without softening it, without packaging it.
This series highlights women as architects of pressure, selectors, producers, performers, organizers, not as exceptions, not as diversity tokens, but as the backbone of a system that has always been there.
There is no “female sound” here.
Only intent, discipline, aggression, depth.
Lineups are built on authority, not gender quotas.
Artists are chosen for their ability to control a room, bend time, and command energy — the same way matriarchs have always ruled: quietly, relentlessly, effectively.
The MATRIARCHY stands for:
— reclaiming space in the underground without asking for permission
— dismantling the myth that power in music is masculine by default
— shifting focus from image to presence, from hype to substance
This is not about replacing one hierarchy with another.
It’s about revealing the one that already exists.
No slogans.
No explanations on stage.
Just pressure, continuity, and control.
