ANCUT
Shadows run deep into the trees. They lead to a place where everything moves constantly, yet time stands still.
Superluminal is back for its Summer ritual in Bucharest.
Noizar, Matthias, and Ancut are taking over from dusk 'til dawn.
Saturday, August 8th.
---
Long-time resident of Closer, Kyivโs most renowned club institution, Noizar is a Ukrainian DJ who recently relocated to Amsterdam.
Noizarโs sets carry a sharp, hypnotic groove. Behind the decks, he channels a precise, detail-oriented approach, from his razor-edged selections to his technical finesse, qualities that have taken him across the globe to some of the most carefully curated events.
Whether commanding a packed, sweat-drenched dance floor or crafting deeply considered mix tapes for independent radio stations across the globe, Noizarโs sound consistently reaches beyond traditional house or techno. His sets reveal a subtle, enigmatic twist, weaving broken rhythms and finely layered melodies into something quietly transcendent.
He also runs the vinyl-only imprint Wicked Bass, a label dedicated to releasing records from both Ukrainian and international talents.
---
Matthias is the head of Superluminal, a small Berlin label where heโs put out almost all of his music along with that of other like-minded producers.
He chooses to reveal only a few personal details about himself, and prefers to let the music speak for itself.
When he plays out, itโs dark and mysterious, patiently constructed, powerful yet spacey, a mix of midnight madness made of records you may never hear again.
---
Marco Pellegrino is an Italian DJ and producer based in Berlin, known within the scene as a mastering and vinyl cutting engineer at Analogcut, for his underground imprint Discarded Gems, and for his appearances at select parties all over Europe, especially as a regular at Superluminal nights.
His musical taste was shaped mainly by club nights happening in Brancaleone and Goa Club in Rome in early 2000s, thus opening his views on a Detroit-influenced sound and its North-European reinterpretations.
Since then, he approached DJ-ing in a very particular way, and started digging into diverse styles, putting together an extremely versatile record collection over the last 15 years, that shapes his current sound.
The love for the analogue domain is evident also in his productions, where computer-free hardware sessions are recorded straight to tape.
