TEDˣ Questfield Intl College Youth: Disrupting – Embracing Complexity: The Courage to Think in Shades

TEDxQuestfield International College Youth is an independently organised TEDx event dedicated to bringing together young minds, inspiring thinkers and influential voices to explore ideas worth spreading. Rooted in the TED philosophy, the event creates a space where students, educators, professionals and thought leaders engage in meaningful conversations, challenge conventional thinking and discover new perspectives. More than a public speaking event, it is an opportunity for young people to develop their intellectual curiosity, express original ideas and contribute to conversations that matter.

The third edition will take place on 22 November 2026 at the Ion Manu Cultural Centre in Otopeni, Romania, under the theme Embracing Complexity: The Courage to Think in Shades. In a world increasingly drawn towards simple answers, polarised opinions and black-and-white thinking, this year's event invites speakers and audiences to embrace nuance, question assumptions and explore the many perspectives that shape our understanding of the world. From education and technology to identity, relationships and human behaviour, the talks will examine why complexity matters and why the courage to think differently has never been more important.

The event builds on two previous editions: Foresight in Education, held in March 2025, and Disruption: Building Order from Chaos, held in November 2025. Both editions brought Questfield students together with guest speakers to explore contemporary challenges and emerging ideas. The November 2025 edition featured 25 speakers, including 18 Questfield students, demonstrating the event's commitment to giving young people a meaningful voice alongside experienced professionals. The 2026 edition builds on this foundation, expanding the range of voices, perspectives and ideas represented on stage.

This year's edition marks an important milestone in the event's growth, bringing together a record 50 speakers, including students, teachers, parents, community partners and renowned guest speakers. This diversity of voices reflects the belief that ideas worth spreading can emerge from any generation, profession or life experience. By bringing young thinkers onto the same stage as established voices, TEDxQuestfield International College Youth creates a space where perspectives meet, assumptions are challenged and meaningful conversations unfold. The unprecedented number of speakers also reflects the event's growing reach, ambition and commitment to becoming an internationally recognised platform for ideas.

TEDxQuestfield International College Youth brings together a diverse community of young people, educators, parents, business leaders, cultural figures and professionals who share an interest in education, innovation and the future of society. By connecting different generations, disciplines and experiences, the event encourages intellectual exchange and creates opportunities for dialogue beyond the stage. Its ambition extends beyond the local community: over the next two years, the organisers aim to develop the event into an internationally connected platform, attracting speakers, participants and institutional partners from different countries.
